February 11th – 15th, 2019
Memory Verse: For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Bible – Prayer & Praise, Skit practice
Math – Length, sorting by color/shape, teens, *Please make sure your child can count to 100.*
Spelling/Handwriting – Sight word review, spelling CVC words, color words
Homework- Memory Verse Practice is the only assigned homework this week. I will be assessing the kids for report cards. I do still encourage you to read with your child. They are doing so great with their reading and they are so excited to recognize words in their books. J (No readers will come home this week, unless you request it).
Monday-Please bring your item for our Valentine’s Party. The list with your name and the item needed was sent out last week. Please let me know if you need this sent again. They may start bringing in their Valentine’s today…we will read them during our party.
Thursday-Valentine’s Day Party starts after recess (around 10:05). They may wear a Valentine’s themed shirt or red, pink, etc. and jeans or leggings! Party Volunteers: Pam Sawyer, Erica Keane, and Rebekah Knoll…thank you!
Friday-End of 2nd Trimester…Report Cards will go home on February 28th. Chapel at 11:00 am, NO Show-N-Tell.
Week break is February 18th-22nd…I will send home skit lines for your child to practice over break. We will be doing one of the skits for our March Chapel.

Auction-There will be several items in the Auction that are specific to Kindergarten families. There is a “Star Busy Bee” certificate that is good for a current Kindergarten student. If you bid on and win this item, your child will be our “Star Busy Bee” for a week; bring one show-n-tell daily, line leader every day, I will bring in a special snack of their choosing to share with the class, first choice of bins/games all week, no uniform one day, a trip to Zips with a classmate of their choosing for an ice cream cone, and they choose where they want to sit that week. There is also a “Lunch Date with Mrs. Dilling” coupon. They will choose a classmate to share lunch with; I will provide the lunches, we will eat in the lunchbox at school, they will stay for recess with the “big kids”, and they will have a late pick-up at 2:00 pm. The final item at the auction is a canvas; “He Resuced Me” that the Kindergarten class made for the Art Walk this year.

Seekins Precision has graciously donated a hunting rifle for our rifle raffle. Tickets will be available in the school office. Raffle tickets are $20 each.
