Homework-All students are being asked to practice their memory verse nightly for homework. Reading is also very important, especially as your child is learning to read. Please make sure you are making time to read to and with your child.
*Our curriculum really starts to intensify as we near the end of the 1st trimester. Please be sure to go over any papers your child brings home and check for areas that they may need extra practice in. I will usually write a little note at the top of their paper. Thank you!
Pumpkin Patch-We will not be visiting Wilson’s Banner Ranch this year. They are only allowing family groups with masks. I am checking into a couple of alternatives. If all else fails, I will bring in pumpkins and we will do activities here.
Halloween-We do not celebrate Halloween at CCS. We focus more on Harvest and Autumn activities. We will have a special “dress up” day on October 28th. This is to celebrate being “Ready to Read”. They may dress up as any book character (nothing scary or inappropriate). I will have more information on that next week.
