Wednesday-CCS Sweatshirt Day with uniform bottoms
Socks- because we share a space with the church nursery, there are times we take off our shoes when they get especially wet, muddy, and grassy. The kids need to be wearing socks to remove their shoes. Could you make sure your kids have socks on with their shoes or pack some slippers for them? Thank you!
Homework-I have spoken to Mrs. Kym about adjusting our homework requirements for K. I still encourage all students to read at home as much as they can, but there will not be any “assigned” reading days. I will continue to send home the “Reading Bee” sheets once a month and you may fill those out and return them when they are completed. I will continue to send home our memory verse of the week, but it will not be assigned as homework. If a child is struggling in a certain area or is unable to complete something that day, then it will be sent home. Please continue to check folders nightly. Half-day students will still be assigned some homework. The purpose of this is to keep them on track, as closely as possible, with full day students. I will try to keep this to one worksheet a day. We want kids to be prepared for the nightly homework they receive in 1st grade, but full day Kindergarten can be a difficult adjustment for kids and their families. I want your kids to be able to enjoy reading and spending time with their families and not worrying about homework. If you have questions or concerns with this, please let me know.
