Last Week of SchoolJ L
Monday Morning Worship is CCS awards day! The kids will be getting their cereal awards! Everyone invited! Starts at 8 a.m.
Bible: We are done!
Spelling: Nada! None! Zippity Do-dah! This year have learned 420 new spelling words, not to mention all the vocabulary from all our books JYikes!
Math: We will be looking at some fourth grade Math curriculum. They will be learning how to read problems out of a book and writing the answers on graph paper. I will be focusing on the students keeping their work neat and legible! We have already worked on over 5600 math problems this year…maybe more! Whew! PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE! Keep practicing all those math facts! Quite a few students still aren’t comfy with them all!
Social Studies: We have learned many exciting things in Social Studies: Map skills, Geography, Continents, Native Americans, Explorers, Colonies, and U.S. History! Yay!
Science: And what about: Rainforests, Animals, Water, Rocks and Minerals, volcanos, earthquakes, Space Exploration, Solar System, bodies and nutrition! Oh my!
Most importantly: Over the course of this year we have learned to become servants to others, talk to Jesus more often, follow the words of our Savior, to love each other unconditionally, consistently try and show love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. What a great bunch of kids I have come to know and love this past year. Crazy, it has rushed by so swiftly, only because they make my job easy, with their sweet and gentle spirits, their loving ways showered upon me, their eagerness to learn and great efforts put forth. They have become part of my family and always will be. They are always welcome to come visit anytime! May blessings be upon you throughout the summer and thank you for a wonderful year with a special group of young girls and boysJ
